I will be moving to Saddlebrooke, Mo. in 2008 from Irvine, California. My exercise of choice is power walking and fortunately living in southern California, weather is not a factor and I enjoy walking outside daily. Is anyone aware of facilities that permit indoor walking during inclement weather in the Branson area? Some areas open malls or school gyms etcetera.

Rec Plex. There is a gym or you can go there and walk and it is $20/yr for the walking track.

Default Power walking

Thank you. Have you or anyone you know walked in that particular gym? Where is it located?

The ladies at the office I work at here suggested that. They walk during lunch sometimes and it is located in Branson off of Bee Creek past the Target. If you have anymore questions I'll find out for you.

Default Walking in the Ozarks...

Barb: I live in Saddlebrooke and rest assured you can find someplace to walk.
If it's too cold or wet outside, battlefield mall is open for walking but you might find it a bit too far for a daily trip. The RecPlex is about 9 miles from here and it has walking facilities.

We've only lived here 6 months, but from previous trips, I would say that there aren't too many days that you really can't walk if your willing to bundle up (winter) or deal with the humidity. Electrical storms will stop you before most of the other weather.

There are a couple of small groups of women here who walk most days although it's not power walking.
