We are relocating to the Nixa/Springfield area from Oklahoma. I prefer Nixa but to give us more apartment choices I have slightly widened our choices to include Springfield area/Kickapoo High School area. I just wanted to try to find more feedback from residents to make a good decision!!

I appreciate your help!
Hi!

I was born and raised in Springfield, have family and friends still there. Currently in Kansas, *possibly* returning to Springfield soon.

I attended Glendale and now my little brother does. I can tell you, if I had it my way, I would have went to Kickapoo. A TON of my friends went to Kickapoo, my mother graduated from there as well. It is just generally a 'better' school IMO than Glendale. The whole drug thing? Yes there are drugs everywhere, but it is well known that Glendale has a bad rep for it. Trust me, LOL, I went there. Kickapoo is great though, as is Parkview. Your typical drug thing will be in every high school, and some 'statistics' really don't do that justice due to so many kids that do drugs and unfortunately never actually get caught. These forums here are great so you can get opinions from all perspectives.

My friend lives in Nixa, has for a long time and loves, loves, loves it! Only bad thing is traffic coming back in from Springfield seems to get crazy congested sometimes. LOL

Just wanted to throw mine in. Good luck with your move!!

Kickapoo schools are great. I have lived in Nixa and Kickapoo area. I would rather send my kids to school at Kickapoo. If you want to live outside of springfield. Bolivar has some excellent schools. We are building a house thier now. We are going through a housing division that builds houses and they finance anyone. If you would be interested I could give you thier info? It is a good drive to springfield for work. And great schools for children. I am a picky person when it comes to schools. I teach and I want the best for my children. That is why we moved to Bolivar. Go online and check out thier rates.
