Hi
In the next year we plan on moving from Mn to southern mo. We are not sure what towns to look at for purchasing property. Here is what we need.
I have horses need to be close to riding areas.
20 to 40 acres
within 40 min from stores like wal'mart.
we love hills, and trees.
Any ideas? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I do not know how I missed your post, but if you are still checking the forum...

You want south-central or southwest Missouri. The southeast part of the state is flat and largely treeless. For convenience, look at West Plains on west.

Wal-marts are nearly ubiquitous here. Even Wal-Mart Supercenters are common. Any number of communities will fit the requirements listed: West Plains, Ava, Lebanon, Rolla, Cassville, Salem, and the Springfield area generally. There are many others that could work as well.

Perhaps you could add some qualifiers to help narrow the search?

We just spent 3 weeks in Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. We also have horses and are looking to relocate to the area in 2015.
The I'd agree with a previous poster about the West Plains area when it comes to horseback riding..
Plenty of properties that border Forest or other Goverment lands. Several saddle clubs, and lots of equestrian events..
West Plains is large enough to have most everything you need too. Medical, Wallmart, Feed Store....
