Wink The Disney rumors...

I heard an interesting rumor about the Disney rumor...one of my clients told me that they were assured by a time share salesman that Disney was coming to the Branson area. It was apparently being used as a tool to get folks excited about the future of the area. (Like there's not enough growth...! )

I am assured by various trustworthy sources that Disney will probably never open a theme park in a less-than-temperate climate...where the park would have to be closed part of the year.

last time I checked, EuroDisney was not open all year round, but I am with you about the growth thing. SW Mo is beautiful!
Hubby is from Orlando, and does not feel the same way about his hometown since Mickey came to town

Default Disney says no

Here's a report on the Disney/Branson area rumor, if anyone is interested; it's apparently based on a story from the Springfield News Leader, but if you read this whole article you'll see that Disney shot it down...

That rumor has been around forever. I once heard (and I take this with a mighty grain of salt) that Disney wanted to build DisneyWorld in St. Louis, but Anheuser Busch kept them out because they wouldn't sell beer in the park.

How things like this start I'll never know, but they sure are funny.
