On our recent trip to Eureka Springs, we had the pleasure of trying fried pickles at the Rowdy Beaver restaurant. My husand is an avid pickle connoisseur, and was wondering if anyone knows of someplace to get this wonderful snack in the Springfield area?? Thanks so much!

Easy to make at home, just slice the pickles and batter with a boxed tempura batter. fry in olive oil that is almost smoking. Blot on towels and sprinkle with salt, pepper and a little taco seasoning.

Not sure how to include the link, but there is an older thread, "In Search of Fried Pickles" back in November. Everyone put in their 2 cents and even added recipes to make them yourself.

As for me, living in Strafford is easy. Joe's Diner is the place. It is a little mom/pop kind of place. It is located by Strafford Schools, just off exit 88 from I44.

I hope you can find the thread or that someone can attach the link.

Easy to include a web address as a link. Just type in the web address as part of your text leaving a space between the web address and after typing in the address leave a space and then post. When the post apeares on the board it will show as a link.
Example: Cobra Kayaks

Cool! Have to give the place a try. Also found out that Sullivans out on the Landing is being reopened (March) as the Texas Land and Cattle Co. Their menu includes FRIED DILL PICKLES!
