Hi. We will be relocating to Springfield this spring/summer. We are retired. We need a good Nephrologist. Also which hospital is better, Cox or Mercy? Looking for a in town house in a good subdivision. A house on a little acreage would be fine if it is within 5 minutes of town. Thank you.

If you want any acerage I doubt you are going to find that right in Springfield. Nixa and ozark are both 5/10 mins from springfield and nice towns. Stay on the south side of springfield or Nixa/Ozark. The north side isn't as nice and more crime. Both hospitals are good.

I'm equally confused with the desire to live in a townhouse with land. Most townhomes are bordered by single family dwellings. Rentals are available at The Village of Nathanial Greene. The park is a one minute walk. A semi secluded option is Fassnight Meadows.

Sorry I confused you. I said an in-town house in a good subdivision or a house on a little acreage as long as it is 5 minutes from town. No townhouse for me. lol. Thank you for the info.

Reasonably priced homes are to the far western edge of Springfield. The north is very cheap, but crime is higher. The far east is expensive and anything south of sunshine street is moderate in all areas.

I see a treatment facility at 1911 S. National. The neighborhoods just west and south of there are affordable.

One great advantage of springfield is it is bordered by Hwy 65, Interstate 44 and James River Expressway. Any homes located close to one of those roads can get to the hospitals and doctors offices within minutes if they are near the medical mile area. which is right on top of James River.

Default North?

What part would be the north? Bounded by what streets?

I would say I44 (Interstate 44) is the North border of Springield. Although North Glenstone has some subdivisions as does North highway 65.

Good luck on your search.
