Me and my fiancé are looking for a place for us and our 3 kids preferably a 3 bedroom apartment. We have not had much luck around here the first place we stayed at was crosswind apartments they showed us one room them moved us into another room which had blood on the countertops paint chipping off the walls and black mold growing in the closet my son actually ended up getting sick fro. This we have pictures and doctors note but now it's very hard to find a place as they put us down as not paying the last month which I used to move as my kid was getting very ill. Is there anyone that would rent to us or is there any lawyer that would take this case perdium.

You might try a housing wanted ad on Craigslist. But, yes, moving out without paying your rent is certainly going to cause you problems with finding a new place to live.

Maybe you can strike a deal with the old landlord that if you pay all you owe, they will give you a better reference.

Personally, when I am calling to check references and a landlord tells me the tenant moved out owing rent money, I'd never rent to that tenant. A lot of landlords feel the same way about it as I do.

What on earth would a lawyer do for you? He can't make a landlord accept you when you have a bad landlord reference, and you admit you didn't pay the rent, so the old landlord is telling the truth about you. It's legal to tell the truth.

I know this sounds crazy, but stay downtown. Those can be the nicest apartments in the city of Springfield, and maybe if you're lucky you'll get a high apartment with a view of Springfields skyline
