Nice route, huh, Wes59? Sounds like it's well-thought out and comprehensive.

How about this drive? We are leaving the hotel in Branson, with no particular place to go. Eventually, we will head back to Arkansas and home to Houston. Feel free to plot me a plan if you like- I have NO idea about where I am going.

Go fast and miss so much. Take your time and search one area at a time.

I can work one up tomorrow, tonight is crazy until past my bedtime already. Best to stay off the bigger roads and hit more cool stops than to blast down the highway and see lots of road cut bluffs. That route is pretty good, I will see if I can add a little more sweetness to it when I get a minute.

Okay, upon looking it over, the route you have is good. The only thing I might suggest is stopping by Montauk State Park, the headwaters of the Current river. You go to Licking as you have mapped, then turn right at Licking on Main St, which is Hwy. 137 south. About 2.25 miles south of Licking, make a left on Hwy. VV. About four miles down VV, you come to a y in the road. Take VV to the right. Follow VV to the end, go right on Hwy 119 to Montauk SP.You follow that road through the park, and it turms into Hwy. YY. Follow that to the end, you hit Hwy. K. Take K to the right and it will take you to Hwy. 19 a few miles south of Salem. Of course, if you want to see Salem, you can trek a few miles north when you hit 19, or just follow the route you have. Your trip!
