A few years ago, while living in Minnesota, I came to Branson inJan/Feb using my son's timeshare.
I really enjoyed it !

Weather was great, scenery great, and light traffic.

Well, in 2012 I moved to the Ozarks of north Arkansas and took a drive to Branson yesterday.
Scenery and weather still great .but it was real dead !

Feb always was slow in the past but compared to this year it seemed most places were either closed or nearly empty of visitors.

Was yesterday what Branson in Feb has become because it certainly wasn't this deserted in Feb years back ?

That is usually the slow time for Branson, Table Rock area. Although with the super warm weather this year I'd figure a few more people would be out and about.

Last time I was in the area was the second week of May 2013 during the week spent a few days down there. It wasn't terribly busy during the week. It was mostly locals. Silver Dollar City was a bit crowded because of the area schools taking kids there for the end of the school year, but it wasn't that bad. Weather was great too.

Branson and Table Rock get packed from Memorial Day on, especially during the weekends.

I understand....but I am comparing coming to Branson in February of 2010 and 2011 to my experience in February of this week.

Ah. Could be various things.

When I was at the Titanic exhibit I was talking to one of the workers there and he told me in the spring like in march they get a bump up in activity from people taking a spring break from places like Texas come up to Branson. Seems kind of odd, but it's a fairly short drive from there.
