If you have HBO, it's worth watching this documentary on the murder of 'Dee Dee' Blanchard that has been in the Springfield headlines since her daughter 'Gypsy' and her boyfriend were arrested for the murder. This documentary tells the story of the family behind the headlines. If you don't have HBO then this Rolling Stone review of the documentary shares some of the details.

Think you already know the whole story? Here is a shocking statement from the article made by Gypsy's grandfather about his daughter 'Dee Dee' - In the documentary, Claude Pitre and his wife agree that his daughter "got what she deserved" as they describe flushing her ashes down the toilet.

We watched it the other night. It is an interesting story. I came away not convinced that Gypsy was the total victim she portrayed herself to be. I felt the documentary was a bit amateurish as far as production goes.

I don't understand why the dad and stepmom act so surprised like the story is about someone else's kid. He bears a lot of responsibility for never questioning anything the mom said. It's so strange bc he seems to love her and was in her life but to be so uninterested in getting the truth is bizarre especially when the mom has a shady history. How hard is it to make calls or go to dr appts?
