I am retired and thinking about moving to Branson. But I don't drive and am wondering if Uber/Lyft/Taxi Service is available and reliable there. I see that there is OATS Transportation. Anything else that I would be able to use? Shuttles etc? Thanks!

This article focuses on Appalachia on the east coast. northerners moving to places in the mountains instead of FL and some cases from FL.

I hear parts of the Ozarks are the same way too especially around the Branson/Springfield area and Bull Shoals as well. People from up north retiring there.

I hope that isn't the case because the yankees tend to vote liberal.

We want to keep Missouri DEEP red like it is right now! I don't want yankees moving to Missouri and voting Democrat.

Here in FL it has become a lot more liberal. Our Republicans here, many of them would be moderate democrats like Jay Nixon in Missouri. They are nearly not as conservative. Even Rick Scott is like Jay Nixon and supports some forms of gun control, more moderate on gays and healthcare for example.

I moved back to Florida from Missouri and overall here in FL the state overall has a much more moderate feel to it than Missouri which just outside of KC and Stl leans very far to the right especially on gun laws.

Can we swap FL and MO positions? Put FL up there and move MO down here. I like Missouri's gun rights much better than here in FL. Up there they have open carry, you don't need a permit for concealed carry like you do in FL. Here in FL open carry will get you arrested and down here the penalty for carrying into a prohibited by law place is harsh compared to Missouri.
