Also ate lunch at French Hen on Hwy 248 I believe. Ate at Denny's with one of the Platter members but I think he takes all the women there! Very nice crew. LOVE Branson! Everyone was soooo nice.
So glad you enjoyed yourself. It's a great place to live and to visit. Waxy's is our favorite Friday afternoon hangout (1/2 price drinks and appetizers from 4-6). Come on back sometime...would love you have you come to a coffee club meet and meets some of the MO peeps.

Perhaps it should be called a "hip ball" cause this puppy is going to go right to the butt....

We could serve it with Dino's carrot cake just to be sure it sticks.

Oh my. A fattening treat that has escaped my notice?

My goodness. I wonder if they need any help rebuilding that place...

I have not been there myself, but I would think that the lounge at one of the "upscale" hotels would be nice (Chateau or Hilton).

Personally, I am not a fan of the live music scene in Branson (music shows notwithstanding). "Blues" and country and classic rock is not my cup of tea. I'd really prefer some nice smooth jazz but good luck finding that in B-town (or Springfield either, for that matter).

I have been known to swill a few at the bowling alley bar in Kimberling City (I'm not sure what they call it these days). They have a juke box which will let you find a song that you might enjoy hearing, and it has a real "bar" atmosphere, not a sports bar, or karaoke bar, etc.

The Down Under used to be fun, I have not been there since the American Bandstand people took it over/remodeled it. I'm sure it's all trendy now instead of a real bar.
