We lived in Branson for a few years and left in 2013 to move back to Las Vegas. I regret the move for several reasons and am considering moving back to Branson. Have there been any real changes in the past 5 years? It seems crime has gone up, but it has everywhere. Are there any new restaurants or large stores? I know Chick-fil-a came in. Not interested in The Landing or tourist things really. Thanks.

Here's an interesting piece on Branson, though it's 2.5 years old.
Branson has long been on the sh!tlist of the AFM for attempted shoddy treatment of musicians. I don't know if that's still the case.

Branson reminds me of Laughlin without the casinos.

I was there in the mid 80's and it was the most congested place I ever been to in my life. So much traffic, cars, campers, busses on such tiny two lane roads. It took so long to get from one place to the next. I was about 34 years old at the time and everywhere I went, I do believe I was the youngest one in the room. I'm sure it's different now, because when I was there, Branson was still being built. It had become a major venue for country music only a few years before, but I have no desire to go back to see how it has evolved since I was there as I am sure there is a video on YouTube to show what Branson is like now.
