Live in Connecticut, and came across the box in the closet of the Cowboy Hat, Boots, Wranglers, and a few Western Shirts. I know if I wore those things in public in CT without it being halloween, I would probably end up in the back of a medical transport on my way to a padded room. I would get a few laughs thats for sure.

Curious how for east the Cowboy culture comes. I was told you don't see it in St. Louis or KC. Wondering about Southwest Missouri. Seems there would be more because of Branson and the overall area being closure to Tulsa and/or Wichita areas?

I don't think it would be too uncommon to see people wearing that stuff in rural Missouri -- here and there. Not so much in the cities. It would be more common further west. Heck, I had a cowboy hat. SW Missouri has something of a mining heritage rather than strictly cowboys. Missouri ranks 3rd in beef cattle behind Oklahoma and Texas so there are incognito cow persons out there somewhere.

Plenty of people dress in "western wear", including boots and hats, here in the upper Midwest. Not as many as in the south or west, but a number that would likely surprise most who were to inquire. Of course, most if not all of them are country folk and/or farmers. I have many relatives in West Virginia and SW Pennsylvania who also dress like that routinely.

When I’m in SW Missouri, I see a lot of people who wear jeans with boots but not necessarily cowboy boots. A lot of people in rural areas there still have livestock, so it makes sense.
