Hold your head up high for taking that leap out! Very commendable! Try to volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club, or become a mentor!
I have tried most of these things. The last publisher that replied told me that there is no market for what I wrote. I am not worried about any retaliation. It is something that goes with the territory. As far as getting out unharmed, once youreach a certain rank you can "retire" with no repercussions.

Gangs in Springfield????? Its the fault of the police! The police need to harass and harass these thugs until they are so miserable they just leave or end up in jail! This is a fairly small town and the police should be able to literally run them out of town!

If the police see them congregating then stop them! These punks should have no rights! What a bunch of punks!

If you are worried about gangs in Springfield, then I would suggest moving to the south side of the city. I have lived here for 25 yrs and I have never come in contact with gangs! If you are really worried about it, then move to Nixa or Ozark, which is right outside of Springfield.

I was raised in Springfield we didn't have so called Gangs we had Neighborhoods if you didn't belong in certain areas you were asked to leave or got the something beat out of you.

Like I was raised in Nichols Jct. married a woman from South Golden was told if it wasn't for her I would not be allowed to live there, even being married to her I still got couple beatings because of where I was from.It was down there the first time I ever seen the KKK come in the middle of the night told a woman to leave town and burnt a cross in her yard.

I can tell you, as someone with 19 years as a cop in the area, that the news reports and springfield police reports of gang activity have been much exaggerated. There are a lot of criminals about, and wanna be's, but very little in organized gangs. Compare our violent crime rate with other cities of similar size....we are much lower.

Default The final solution !

In the early 90's and before, a certain county had the ultimate remedy to gangs and homosexuality.
They simply vanished over a cliff top in Arkansas.
The good old days ?

Default Good point...

Ya both have a good point about where our constitution went, or which way it goes. Kind of like the bible's meaning. But do any of you really think any of the gang members care if they bann guns from usa citizens. As far as childern shooting childern, i would say that (someof) the blame has to go to parents that are just too busy running after the $ sign and to give thier childern attention when they need it. Thier not dogs you train they arre human beings learning. And they are filling in the empty space with what they can. Wanting the attention. I would never be little myself so low as to join a gang to benifit someone else. Just keep bickering amoung yourselves and you are giving them what they want. I am not a smart person , but i still believe in my country -and the true citizens of the united states.lobbist, socialism, captialism. These things are why we have the bill of rights and constitution. Not so we can change it for any group that can yell the louds or has the most money! What is the true meaning of the bible, and where is our contstution going? I apologize for taking up so much of your time.
