We live in Colorado and are considering a vacation at Lake of the Ozarks in late June. We are big water skiers and would bring our 21' ski boat. I am concerned about crowds. I have been reading some posts on the internet about this. Is it too crowded and crazy to water ski? We usually go to Lake Powell where you can almost always find calm water.

The Lake getssome Major Boat traffic with some very Large Boats.Me myself I will not take my 18 foot Boat out on the Main Lake.But in truth you should be ok.Just stay away from Party Cove.

I'm not at all familiar with the lake. Where is Party Cove and where would you suggest would be the best area to rent a house if we like to ski? I hadn't thought of Truman Lake. I see that it is close to Lake of the Ozarks. What can you tell me about it? I'll also research it on the net. Thanks.

Party Cove is by the State Park.Just a bunch of Big Boats getting together where anything goes as far as sex and drugs.Just too many people involved for the Law to do anything about,its a Bad Deal.
I can't help as far as a place to stay.We have a Cabin by Truman lake that we stay.Got friends that Camp at Osage Bluff.
I'm hoping someone else will chime in here and help you out.I know there is alot of Skiers on Lake of the Ozarks.But I also know there is Big Boats get swamped,because of just Bigger Boats.
