We just relocated last August to Springfield and we looked around Nixa and Ozark..heard good things about the communities. Just didn't find a house for us at the time. We moved outside city limits in SW Springfield (Abbey Lane)and really like it. We have enjoyed the schools in Southern Springfield. We didn't get a chance to look at the other communities but have thought Republic might be another shot we'd check if we move again.

I totally agree about the traffic in Nixa....I had to wait a full 15 seconds before turning right on Mt. Vernon this morning taking my daughter to school. That is ridiculous!! Just kidding there friend!! No really we have been here in Nixa for about six months now and really do love it. We looked at a good 30+ houses all over the place before we bought and decided to settle in the county just outside the city limits. We are from so CA and lived in what was considered a small town of 70,000+ so dealing with the (from our previous experience) relatively light traffic around here is nothing. Hard to go wrong here in SWMO. I should mention, and I have driven for a living for the last 28 years in California, the drivers out here are very polite compared to what I have been used to. Just my two cents and observations.

I would not live anywhere in Christian or Taney Counties unless you like lots of people and traffic congestion
