Can anyone in this forum give me contact information for someone to help me with my well in the springfield area? This is the first time i have ever needed assistance with it and have absolutely no clue who to call.

I have been having some color problems with my well water, Also been having supply issues recently. I also want to get a price qoute to fill in the old well and possibly have a new one drilled in a better location.

Berg Pump Service in Springfield #865-7839. They installed in our home as well as my neighbors. Just last week our neighbor had a supply issue as well. It was determined that that pump had some kind of a short. He had the pumped pulled up and installed a new one. Price was in the $400 range.
Good Luck.

Eric Vandevort, same name as the theater downtown. Look him up. Very good and well-connected. He will test the well water for you and tell you exactly what's in it. If something needs to be done, he'd know instantly who to call.

Well I contacted Berg, and have a appointment scheduled with them next week to get a qoute. I was unable to find any info about Eric Vandevort, Can't even get a 411 listing for him.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Default Well Running Dry

Well, It looks like theres a possibility that my 320ft well in north springfield may be drying up, And the guy charged me $85 just to tell me the only fix is to drill a new $10K 550 ft well.

So my question is this, Has anyone here had any experience with with this type of thing? I talked with my insurance company and they tell me that they can't tell me if its covered or not unless I file a claim. I think it maybe though since it doesn't say anything to exclude it.

Has anyone here had any similar experiences?

Tracker .. Sorry to hear the well is running dry. I'm glad Berg was able to determine your situation. Our well was drilled deeper than yours. I will ask around to find if anyone has had this problem.

As for your insurance company, not fair to file a claim and not know if it is covered. I would research that further.

Good luck!

Well its gonna cost me about $4k but I have just decided to go ahead and connect to city water, As much as I hate to, It is alot less than drilling a new well. As far as insurance goes, I don't think I am going to push the issue since I am not going to really need it, Even though in reading thru my contract them there is nothing that says its not covered.
