We are moving in less than a month from North Carolina. Your city has a lot to offer and I think its going to be a good fit for my family. The only negative thing that I can find is...that St. Louis has not adopted the ban on smoking like North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, etc...

Its wonderful to be able to go into any dining establishment that we want and not have to worry about smoke!!! We all know that second hand smoke is even more harmful to us than previously thought. But I wont get on my high horse...

So do you think that St. Louis will ever jump on the bandwagon???

Already approved and many muni's and restaraunts are already smoke free (Ballwin, Kirkwood, Clayton to name a few). The smoking ban for StL county goes into effect 1/1/11 and the city goes smoke free soon too.

^What he said, starting 2011 most things will be smoke free. A lot of restaurants and bars have already started.

How much time did you actually spend in St. Louis to validate that statement?

This is great news. I just moved here from Rochester, NY and it's been surprisingly difficult to get used to seeing (and smelling) people smoking indoors. And I'm so used to NOT having to ask for a non-smoking table in a restaurant that I keep forgetting to ask the host/hostess. Looking forward to 1/1/11!
