I need help! I would like to find a nice apartment in the city but I have bad credit. I have good rental history and stable employment been working for the city 10 years. I have a dog too so im looking for pet friendly places. Any suggestions?

There are a ton of places on craigslist and credit shouldn't be a problem if rental history and employment are good. Dog friendly places are harder to come by but I think most landlords would be willing to work with you if you seem like a good tenant.

Try looking at two family flats in south city, they usually have yards and are dog friendly.

Your best bet is to go through a small-time landlord -- an older couple who own a building or two are going to be much more willing to work with you than a big apartment complex. Craiglist and simply driving around the neighborhoods you are interested in are going to be your best bets.

If possible, you can also offer to sign a two-year lease (landlords love those) or put down a larger security deposit.

best of luck!
