We call I-75 from the Ga/Fl border to the Florida turnpike north of Orlando, the "Florida Autobahn".......seriously!
Watching cars whiz by at 90mph+ is nothing unusual.....we think they're trying to get to Disney first.

Folks, simply said...everyone thinks everybody minus themselves are complete idiot drivers. All I ask is the next time you are in the vehicle and looking for the next idiot driver...simply tilt your head to the right in an upward 15-20 degree motion...and ask yourself, "Now what do I see?"

Have a safe Holiday Season. Happy Festivus!

In StL we have a saying....

F.I.D's = F'n Illinios Drivers

Honestly, the bigger the city the worse the drivers. Big cities=lots of people=sprawl=traffic=bad drivers

Not true.
out here the bulk of the bad drivers are clueless tourists. The locals are aggressive, but there is also a flow.

Out here you see a lot of white-knuckle driving in the cars with midwestern tags. Somehow most of them are doing 55 to 60 in the fast lane when everyone else around them is doing 75-85. Tourists.
I-70 drives to Columbia drive me crazy because everyone thinks you stay in the left lane regardless of speed. WTF?

Hmm...Chicago drivers are not slow...if u are on the highways between 7:30-11 in the morning and 3-7 in the evening u are going to be in traffic. When there isn't traffic you could mistake the Kennedy and Dan Ryan for the Indianapolis 500.

Having lived in both and riding shotgun with my always vocal dad he complains about STL drivers being timid and slow reactionary drivers and Chicago drivers being aggressive and proactive drivers. Driving in the cities I think makes you a better driver more aware of your surroundings with high density and sooo many intersections.

Beijing taxi drivers were the worst...sometimes they would drive on the sidewalks. At the intersection under WuDaoKou subway station taxis literally drove into people lol driving in China was atrocious...not because they're asian lol its because ppl there didnt start driving until they were 30 or more.

You should still know enough to either state of the freeways or stay in slower lane if you can not handle 80 mph traffic. Or you do not slow down in the fast lane on PCH to view the beach vistas.

A lot of SoCal locals are really in no hurry on the surface streets, Especially in Huntington Beach.
