I'm in the same field as GraniteStater. I was recruited into St Louis from Oregon with a pay package that was competitive with Google, and continued to be recruited by other firms after arriving here. There are literally thousands of jobs in GIS in this metro; easily the strongest market in the Midwest and really only California and the DC area have a stronger markets for my industry.

I am actually looking at the GIS market in STL for possible openings right now. Do you know what the best companies or leads to look into in the STL market? I would be looking for entry level positions mostly. Any insider info would be much appreciated
