That's awesome! Yeah I've only been once but I love Matchbox. At Merdian Pint they had an event last night with Schlafly and one of the brewers was bbqing pork steaks for everyone - they were a huge hit.

Now if I could find some toasted ravs here, I would be in business. Will be back in STL next weekend and already have plans to hit up 1) Shaved Duck 2) Gioia's Deli 3) Ted Drewes 4) Everest

Default Back on topic

I don't think you will find newer home on 2 acres in good school district under $550k in st louis. The two acres is the biggest stumbling block. With your other requirements one half acre or smaller is more realistic. That said, you might find what you are looking for in Jefferson or st charles counties. In remote locations expect electric or propane heating, septic tank, and well water.

^There was about a dozen options in Chesterfield when I checked the MLS. The only issue for the OP was that the bulk of them were older homes -- built between the '70s and '90s.

^ I always forget how homes built 20 years ago are now commonly considered "old." I think St Charles County is worth considering, it's pretty much where everyone seems to move when they realize they can't afford/don't see the value in West St Louis county, or they don't feel comfortable moving to the North St Louis county area they grew up in.

I like the advanced search feature on Realtor ARAG, i might have to use that more often. You did however pick the ugliest home with the least amount of character. LOL.

I kinda like these a tad more, may not get as much square footage, but the land is comparable, and on the first one the construction is newer also.

Ha, I didn't even look through the photos really. Just wanted to show that the idea that you can't get 2 acres in St. Louis county under 550k was silly.

I am not a fan of Boulevard. But I sure do enjoy a Schlafly pale ale.
No I just don't understand why everyone in St. Louis loves Schlafly so much. Its prominence comes at the expense of many bars not serving better beers. Obviously it's better than like Budweiser though.

Are there better beers? Sure. But when you just want to get something good off the shelves, Schlafly is pretty good brew.

I particularly liked the Crown Valley Beers but they were not always available.

Not a big fan of O'Fallon or Boulevard

Boulevard = Kansas City...Dont' try to blame that on us.

When I was in college, Boulevard almost felt like a specialty beer as opposed to the Keystone Light we were used to. Personally, I still have a soft spot for American Ale by A-B. Very tasty beer, but somewhat hard to come by, Schlafly and Sam Adam's tend to do me well though.

You are lucky you live in California because it probably means Stone is really common. They're the best brewery in America, IMO.
