Has anyone ever moved from st louis down to Houston Texas? Im born and raised here and have been to many different cities. I lived in atl for almost 2 years and enjoyed the hospitality but it was way too over populated. Any suggestions on Houston? Just wanna get out of St Louis!!!!!!

If you thought Atlanta was overpopulated, you should know that Houston is even larger.

Try throwing a dart at a map and it if hits Houston then you'll know it's your destiny to move there.

Lived there for about three years before moving to St. Louis. Here are some general things to keep in mind:
1. Traffic stinks, so unless you have to or if you love sitting in your car for hours each day, you have to live inside the 610 loop.
2. The area between 610, west of downtown, 10 and 59 is wonderful. For real. Of course, things south, west, north and east of that area are great as well. Downtown, Rice, Montrose, Afton Oaks, the Woodlands.... Obviously, we loved Houston.
3. Be prepared for some real heat, not the tepid warm dry weather we have here in St. Louis in the summertime.
Hope this helps.

Have you considered Anchorage, AK? It's a lot nicer than St Louis and Houston combined!

Im sure traffic couldnt be no crazier than Atlanta traffic. OMG. SO I'M guessing me moving to the suburbs is out if I dnt want to deal with ridiculous traffic?

Traffic in Houston is heinous -- easily just as bad as Atlanta's, which you're right is truly awful.
