Hello All...

I'm interviewing for 2 jobs, 1 of which would be based in St. Louis. Since I know nothing about the city, I'd like to just casually begin reading an overview of local places to hang out, parks for walking, the layout of the city & a bit about varying neighborhoods & rents.

I don't want to jump the gun into full blown research, until I have an offer or am getting close, or pummel the board with q's about SL, but was wondering if there's a local magazine, which might also be online & include such info? I searched, but can't find anything, like The San Diego Reader or Boston Phoenix (I'm probably not searching with the proper key words), although I'm sure there must be something. Could anyone please make a website suggestion?

Thank you very much.

Okay, I might have found it. I have major brain fog today... glad I took the day off, after my phone interview was postponed 'til tomorrow.

Found the Riverfront Times (which seems to give me a nice overview of my goings-on):
St. Louis - DIY - Things to do in St. Louis

& Sauce Magazine (for food):
Sauce Magazine: Metro St. Louis - Readers' Choice

If there's another, please let me know. Or, feel free to ignore me...

Explore St. Louis is the "official" things-to-do website. St. Louis Magazine is more general but includes some current activities.

Blogger Mark Groth put together a picture guide to St. Louis City neighborhoods a few years ago (http://nextstl.com/2011/01/groth-gui...y-of-st-louis/). It's worth a read for pretty much anyone interested in the city.
