Can anyone tell me what the typical rush hour drive time would be from Chesterfield/Ballwin to 8th and Market? I can find typical times when searching, but know that rush hour is different. Thanks!

Hah--I used to work at 8th & Market. I never commuted from Chesterfield, although I hear it varies quite a bit based on when you leave. I've heard things are very slow on 40 west of 270, and it slows again between 170 and Big Bend. I used to know a lot of people who did this commute, and best case scenario if you leave early and you live close to the hwy is 35ish minutes, and worst case an hour-ish.

I have a coworker that lives in Chesterfield and commutes to Jefferson/Market. On a typical day it takes her 45 minutes; but if there's an accident, storm or bad weather it can be around 90 minutes.

About 40-45 minutes during rush hour.

Billiken is right about 170 and Big Bend, although I have regularly seen the backups begin between Skinker and Kingshighway exits, headed westward. However, this kink in the hose usually results in adding maybe 5-10 minutes to the commute, as it is more of a slow roll then a complete standstill.
