Mike,

I haven't been to this location of Eat-Rite enough in recent memory to give a fair opinion.

Agreed with the Buffalo Wing comment. My mom's family is from around the Buffalo area, and I've had my run with the classics: Duff's, Buffalo Bill's, Amherst Ale House is another. I can't find anything that stacks up to these, and another top shelf place (Windsor Inn) that I had in Scranton PA.

Fortels pizza (rated in the top 10 in the country by USAtoday).

What exactly is mostacciolli? (I'm still fairly new to the area). The recipes online make it look very similar to what I've heard referred to as "super bowl casserole" with pasta, ground beef, tomato sauce, and cheese. They really serve that at weddings?

^It's just red sauce pasta with penne noodles and ground beef. But everyone adds their own ingredients to give it a more personalized flavor. Pasta House does a pretty good representation of it.

^They might have it around for speciality pies but no they are not provel-based.

No provel... Either mozzarella or pepper jack upon request.

oh yes, the "classic" St. Louis wedding entails a Catholic ceremony at 2 p.m. followed by a three hour gap (hate those!) and a reception that begins at 6 p.m. at the local union hall or banquet hall (Yacovelli's anyone?). There will be mostacioli. There will probably be a money dance (double hate). There will absolutely be an open bar (I can happily get behind this part).
