The Nats sure haven't done much in the way of offense these last two games now. If we manage to knock out the top team in the NL (much to their fans' chagrin, I know!) I think we've actually got a decent shot at this 12 in '12 thing you guys!

Now forgive me for feeling so gleeful, but ...

... suck it, pujols.

It's a little awkward for me being here in DC. And I like the Nats and all...I feel bad they've never even made the playoffs and here the ultra-successful Cardinals have a chance to rain on their parade in the first round. There's also a lot of sour grapes about the wild card playoff game and how the Cardinals don't "deserve" to be here and how lucky they are.

I just counter with the fact that the St. Louis Cardinals are easily one of baseball's most storied, successful, and prestigious franchises. It will be a looonnnng time, if ever, someone says that about the Nationals. Plus they are just flatout playing better baseball.

I could see people saying such things if the scores were close, or they were only loosing these games by 1 run. But when the scores are 12-4 and 8-0 thats a little more then just lucky to be there. Not that I don't believe people are saying such things, its just silly, and being sore losers. Yes, we did get lucky with the new Wild Card game to get us into the playoffs, but now that we are in we're showing that we deserve to be here.

I wouldn't want to be in DC right now either! And if they didn't stand in our way, I'd be rooting for the perennial underdog Nats too, but such is life.

They sure did themselves a lot of booing as the Cards were introduced yesterday. We really are just freakishly nice fans aren't we?

My twitter page design is all St. Louis Cardinals, and I got cussed out by a Braves fan the other night. I think the guy had a little too much caffeine.

This is only a valid argument if you're a Braves fan, and even then you can't prove one bad call would have changed the outcome of the game. If the Cards didn't deserve to be there, then the Nats should have beaten them with no issues.

^Most Nats fans I know would've much preferred playing the Braves. After how this turned out I think I can see why
