Please tell me a hotel in this area that has a nice restaurant. I am finding that many hotels no longer have restaurants at all. It used to be you couldn't get breakfast but you could get lunch and dinner. Now it seems to be the opposite. "Free breakfast" but go out and about to find a restaurant for lunch and dinner.

I did find one that has a rooftop dining room. I'd love that. However, it says "for club members". No idea what that means for certain but having no problem guessing. "No admittance" to the hoi polloi?

Thank you.

The Station Grille at the Hilton (formerly the Marriott formerly the Hyatt) in Union Station is decent- or at least it was when it was a Hyatt. They offer a full breakfast (it's not free), lunch and dinner.

Alternatively, the Hyatt on the Riverfront also has a Ruth's Chris and the RED Kitchen, both of which are probably good based on my experiences at Hyatt as a guest and former employee.

Good Luck!

P.S. Club Members usually refers to a certain level of club membership within the hotel brand. For instance, Hyatt has 'Regency Clubs' which are open for breakfast, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to guests paying a premium to stay in a Regency Club room, or guests with a certain level of membership (ie: Platinum or Diamond member due to frequent stays at Hyatts). I'm assuming that's the kind of thing you're referring to!

Hyatt on the Riverfront? Is that the one down by the casino boat? I'll take a look.

Thank you.

365 at the ballpark Hilton offers rooftop dining, it has great views, the food/drink is overpriced in my opinion. Red kitchen at the Hyatt is decent, but its ground floor so no views... it's in the old Adams Mark, right by the old courthouse downtown. Cielo at the 4 seasons is up-market and quite nice - they also have nice outdoor terraces.

Ooh another one I just thought of is that Millennium. They have a revolving restaurant which I've heard is quite good- I plan on going in a couple of weeks (finally!).

I've eaten there before. The food wasn't all that great for the price you pay. The View is kind of neat, but it takes about an hour or so to do a whole turn, so for about half lot of the meal your just looking at the emptiness across the river. And when you do go, make reservations and request a window table. We were sat on the other side of the aisle away from the windows and missed out on being able to take in a lot of the view. Although there were people who would just get up and hover over tables to look out the window, but that just seems kind of awkward to be right there when others where trying to eat.
