Hi-when I lived in STL in 2007, the Dept of Social Services (or maybe another state gov agency) had a website that allowed you to search for day care options based on your specific criteria. The only one I can find now just searches by zip code alone. Does anyone know of other search engines that are more specific? We are moving back this summer, and while we aren't sure where we will live, it will most likely be in the Ladue/Clayton/Brentwood/Webster area so I am trying to find all the preschool options for my almost 3 year old. Thanks in advance.

Try this site with DHSS:
https://webapp01.dhss.mo.gov/childca...rchengine.aspx

You can search by county alone or by county and city if you want.

I looked at that link but it only lets you search by city or zip code-the one I used a few years ago also let you search by different features-hours, ages, etc.

I think that is the best you can do. DHSS is the compiler of that information, and unfortunately they have not released a new copy of the data since 2008 (I receive new copies when released as part of my job).

Thanks, though. I just remember it being more robust when I used it in 2006, but maybe it's the same.
