Hello All!

I'm new to the forum, my friend is on here and is always posting!
I was hoping someone might have some advice.
I moved to St. Louis with my husband over 9 years ago.
I'm originally from Kaiserslautern.
My mom divorced my dad about three years ago and she's lonely and sad by herself in Germany.
She's visited a few times and LOVES it here!
I've read all the info on visas etc. I never applied for citizenship BC I never thought this would come up.
What are my options? I have visa. But she's retired and I don't think anyone would want to hire her at her age. (She worked in early childhood her whole life).
Is there a lawyer in St. Louis that works with Visas that you have used?
Does Missouri have some assistance program?
Any advice would be welcome!

Now I'm off to get advice on how to get through the "terrible twos"! Sigh.

I'm sorry I have no advice. I'll be interested to see if anyone does!

My mother is also wanting to move here, but she's a University Professor so has been looking at opportunities at the local colleges and universities (to sponsor her for a work visas).

Good Luck with your bubby too, btw! Sorry you're going through the terrible twos

I'd actually love for her to come and help me.
I wonder if there is a way to sponsor her Visa by hiring her as a nanny?!? I'm going to have to check that out!
She JUST joined E-harmony and I do NOT think that's the way to go. sigh.
Thanks for the encouragement! Sounds like your mother should have no problem!

Have you tried contacting IISTL? They should be able to give you some advice.
