what kind of info are you looking for? Safety, housing costs, walkability, demographics, schools?

Shrewsbury is pretty centrally located- depending on where you will be working; and very close to Webster Groves which is a great area. For the most part i believe Shrewsbury goes into Webster School district. Housing is cheaper than Webster, and they do have a metro link station. You can find 3/2's for sale under $200k and rentals around $500-1,800. I know a few folks that live in the area and like it- but please let us know what specifics you are looking for so you'll get better advice
good luck

Thank you. According to my researches it looks like a suburban area and it is quite residential but what are the amenities that the area offers? Restaurants, bars, shops, grocery stores... the good ones I mean. I'll also be taking the metro link to get there but the closest stop that gets me to work is like 15 minutes walk, is the area safe? I'll get myself a car at some point but until then I'd like to know. I live in France and I'm moving to STL in one week so I pretty much know nothing about what each area in STL has to offer, especially Shrewsbury where I'll be working. So is it generally ok?

Hi Leena, I thought you were moving to Downtown West and staying with a host family there?

Shrewesbury is perfectly safe imo It's on the quiet side if anything!

Shrewsbury is very safe- are you working there and living in downtown west- or did that change? Most of your shopping would probably be in Webster- you should check out walkscore.com- it will list all the amenities nearby depending on the address you enter:
St. Louis MO - Walk Score

The are is safe- although you may want to invest in a bike for cases when weather isn't great at least you can get to your location slightly faster.
