There are Metro Buses that come out this way- but I wouldn't recommend them unless they were a 100% necessity. I've never actually ridden on them but if you look at the schedules- somewhere you could be within 20 minutes drive time will take the bus over an hour and a half to get to because of all of the stops and routes they have to take.

The Metrolink Light Rail terminates at the airport. The Metrolink is great but it's a very limited system and remains within the I-270 loop on the Missouri side. There has long been talk about expanding the system and many proposals have been made- including expanding the Metrolink into Florissant, but it's all a matter of funding, so I'm guessing it will probably be years if ever.

There is talk of building a North County Transit Center around 270 by Florissant Valley Community College, with a BRT bus to downtown every 10 minutes during rush hours.

I don't know about the BRT, but the transit center is scheduled to begin construction this fall. Link: http://www.nextstopstl.org/11724/met...nsit-projects/
