Woodhollow apartments off of 270 and Dorsett Rd in Maryland Heights is pretty much dominated with Indian tenants. You will feel this nice aroma of pakora and samosa all over the place. There is also a desi grocery store at St. Charles Rock Road Exit off of 270. I think it's called Ambica - own and ran by a Gujrati.

Alternatively, you can look into Forest Lake Apartments in Ballwin where you have an Indian Grocery Store called Seema. There is also Mideast Market nearby if you are into eating meat. But more importantly, there is a Hindu Temple off of Wiedman Road which is about 10 minutes drive from Forest Lake Apartments.

Stay in Chesterfield, it has very good school district and good Indian presence. It's the best place to go for shopping ( two outlet malls and very large strip mall). Maryland heights has large number of Indian and so has Creve Coeur (Oxford Hills apartment).
