Very nice area, in my opinion. Nice housing, but small lots. Many are built around the country club. Closest thing to a planned community around here (except Newtown). There is a small commercial area on Boardwalk Commons that can be hard to locate, with a few restaurants and a library branch.

What exactly do you want to know? Are you looking for demographic info, price ranges on homes, safety info, etc?

Nevermind, I just realized that this is you.

1. Schools
2. Conservative values
3. Small town feel where people know one another at the grocery store/restaurants (families go the the football game on Friday night in the fall and basketball games in the winter to watch kids of their friends)
4. Kid friendly neighborhoods (elementary age)
5. Newer Construction up to 10 years old
6. Home 3,500 square feet up

1. I think it may be split between Zumwalt and Wentzville school districts. My opinion is that Wentzville is a better district. You'll have to research and make your own decision. Zumwalt is not bad, but I believe Wentzville is a Blue Ribbon district.

2. This one really depends on what kind of neighbors you get. It is the suburban mid-west, so probably not too many true blue libs, but they are around. I'm in suburbia not too far from Winghaven, and all my neighbors are pretty conservative. I think you'll be fine.

3. You'll be hard pressed to find this anywhere outside of a true small town. Winghaven is a large community, and O'Fallon is even more widespread. The people here are friendly though, so I think it kind of washes out. O'Fallon is just too big to get to know people that you run across.

4. Most new communities in St. Charles co. are kid friendly. Young families buying new homes, plenty of kids.

5. Lots of new construction, some may be a little over 10 years, but probably not too much. There are some very nice homes in wing haven.

6. The homes are mixed sizes. From condos right on up to the range you're looking in.

I also want to echo what Leo said about the boardwalk. It's neat, but not very big. It does have a great pub with pretty good food (Llewellyn's). It has a good bar if you're ever in the mood for something like that.
