Another road rage incident.
It's beginning to scare me knowing these people are on the same roads I drive, possibly right behind me.

Business as usual in St. Louis but still disturbing: Adults killed, child injured in shooting.

Yesterday there seems to have been a police chase after a shooting downtown where officers got shot at by the fleeing suspects. Quite the beginning of the week.

I can't keep track of them anymore.
Before they can finish with one story they have to break away to cover another that just started.

There is a lot of lead flying in that LaSalle Park area just south of downtown these days.

Have you lived there before? Honest question as crime/certain cities seem to be an interest of yours based on your post history.

Agreed. Lots of low income gov. housing sandwiched there in between very desirable areas like Soulard and Lafayette Square... Although a bit of it seems to be starting in other places and ending there for some reason, this neighborhood could transform into a big issue for a growing group of stable, quality neighborhoods (note there has been big positives like a new grocery store, dental office, walgreens, etc.)... But hey, the papers sure love to squeeze "downtown" into most crime stories...

Those are "Wow!" levels of increase, especially since the report is only a week after the end of March. UCR reports for violent crime normally trickle in for several weeks after the end of a month, so those numbers for Jan-Mar will go up by the end of the year.
Highway robbery, theft from vehicle, and robbery with firearm are the big indicator crimes, and those are some huge increases in all of those.

I agree whole-heartedly with this statement. Crime and corruption are nothing new in Saint Louis or Saint Louis County. I think it is attitudes that believe that its new, or only in certain areas that cause fear of urban life, white flight to Saint Charles and West County and stunt regrowth, gentrification and urban renewal.

I went to ch4 to get some more news on this shooting but another shooting that happened in North St.Louis became their top story and then that one was interrupted by one that just happened 30 minutes ago. Damn...
