My daughter goes to SLU. Will have to leave her nice apt on Lindell near school (was working in the building, losing her rent discount). Is looking for something about $400-$600/month, studio or preferably one bedroom. She likes Tower Grove area, Soulard, of course CWE. I want her to be somewhere safe. She will also be doing an internship at one of the VA hospitals & is only on campus a couple of days per week so doesn't need to be extremely close. Thanks for any help. Again, I guess what I'm asking is what areas would you suggest for your child?

I was that girl at SLU with a limited budget, and I found it much easier to just have a roommate. If she's used to living at the nice apartments bordering campus, its going to be hard to switch to what $400-600/mo gets you. Apartments exist at this price point (more towards the $600 range) in Tower Grove, but they aren't that nice.

Nice studios start at 600 in TG. Nice one bedrooms start at 700.
