Does anyone know if the apartments called Hazelwood Forest and Parkwood Place apartments located in Hazelwood are good apartments in a good location?

I can't comment on those apartments specifically, but my friend, her husband, and their 2 children live about a mile or two from there. No issues to report. If anything, it's just kind of boring. The St Louis Mills has shopping/movies/bowling, and it's nearby. Location is good for a short commute to Boeing, which is why my friend lives there.

Lol, boring really isn't an issue since the commute to near by cities isn't a problem. At least where I'm from it would be considered a short commute anyway. I do appreciate your response though, thank you. I didn't realize hazelwood, mo doesn't even have a walmart though o.o. is this true?

There's a Walmart in St Ann, which is close by.

Glad the commute works for you--I was merely commenting on whether this is a "good" location.

Yes, I understand, and thank you. Being that you seem helpful with knowledge on the area would you happen to know of any other near by areas (example: hazelwood, st ann, florissant) that are nice places to live but with a bit more than Hazelwood... such as walmart, dollar stores, grocery stores, etc? I'm debating on possibly being in a location with a bit more in it than Hazelwood. I heard St. Peters is nice but expensive. I've also heard of St. Charles but I couldn't get much information from people with what areas of st charles/apartments are good choices there.

Believe me, I'm no expert. Just have 1 friend who lives there. I think St Charles county as a whole is largely considered a bit nicer than Hazelwood/Florissant. I'm unaware of 'bad' areas of St Charles; I just know they have a quaint main street area. I'm no help on specific apartment choices out that direction as all my friends own homes there. I'm not sure many people who frequently post here live in that area, which is probably why we're not a great source of information.

If you're concerned about price, south county is pretty inexpensive as well--although if working off of 70, not the best option.

To quote a poster here from a couple of years ago:

"St. Charles is a sea of vinyl houses." If that floats your boat, go for it. It is textbook exurbia. Lots of apartment complexes. All the big box stores and chain restaurants you could hope for and more.

Lol, I see. After much thought and consideration, and reading things people have posted on this forum, I am going to try aiming for St. Peters.

And several wonderful independently owned/small restaurants, pubs and shops in the Historic District by beautiful Frontier Park. St. Charles has the best Oktoberfest in all of Missouri. Leave it to STL City denizens to hate on St. Charles, the ol' provincialism is alive and well.....
