Actually if you go to CNNpolitics.com you can see county by county, and you're quite wrong. nearly every rural county voted heavily for Huckabee, most urban areas for McCain, with a few Romney's mixed in (St. Charles county was a Romney, but both St. Louis city and county and Jefferson county were McCain)

Hi friends,
As I told you I would had a visit to St. Louis. But last week, the weather was so bad that Delta canceled all flights to St. Louis. I was unable to make it

But I was very pleasant for the kindness of WashU. They are so nice and helpful

we really like st.louis. we are from illinois. our son is a student at wash u. what a beautiful place. we are always telling others about the great zoo, museums and forest park. not a bad drive from here..4.5 hours. can't forget the brewery and grants farm and the arch. you can do alot of sightseeing for not a lot of money!

I'm a white girl from St. Louis who comes from a long line of liberals. In my experience, there is a substantial "urban liberal contingent" in St. Louis. There are suburban lefties too - they may be closeted, but they exist. I grew up in south county and west county, and went to private catholic girls' school (although I'm not catholic). I was not the only one like me.

Thank you for your wish.
But this time, I am pretty busy with some deadlines Therefore maybe I'll make my decision based on what I learn from Internet and from my friends, and of course from topics about St. Louis here
I have a friend studying at a school near WashU - University of Illinois, Champaign, IL. She also said WashU is a very nice school I was also told that the food there is great.

heavyrain,
wash u is a really nice school. my son goes there. however, i would not say that University of Illinois in Champaign, is close to st. louis. you better check your map on that! As far as the food on campus, wash u has an excellent selection.

She said the distance is less than 4 driving hours. I think it is pretty close.
I also looked at the map and see St. Louis and Champaign are not too far :-)

It's not even 4- more like 3 depending on where you're going in the area.
