To be fair, I've lived in this place for going on 8 years now, but here is what I have experienced:

1. When I first moved in, wasps on my living room windows. Called the apartment management and, "durrr, mysteries of the universe! Well, they'll probably be gone in the winter."

2. Crickets a couple years later. In all other places I've lived, I'd see an average of 1 cricket inside a year. This was about a dozen in one summer.

3. Couple years after that, a blowfly infestation. Miserable. Hundreds of filth flies obviously coming in from some dead animal somewhere in either a wall or whatever, mostly congregating on windows and the kitchen light. Called about this, "durrrrr, I dunno, man." Eventually ran its course after a few weeks, although I'd still see one randomly flying by a light for a few months after.

4. A clothes moth infestation. This is ongoing and they're not going away. It's been this way for probably upwards of 2 years now. I've killed hundreds of them. I've tried everything as far as getting rid of towels and stuff that they were getting in, but it's no use.

Did I just get unlucky or is this how it is everywhere?

Just curious, what area?

When I lived in Tower Grove I had to take care of some roaches when I first moved in but that was only because the entire building was uninhabited before I took over. $15 at Home Depot for a good interior spray and deep cleaned the place was all it needed.

I live in Tower Grove and we haven't had any major bug issues. Last summer was the summer of gnats (from all the rain) and you couldn't go to a single restaurant on Grand without being accosted by the little buzzers.

We occasionally see a garden roach or those typical creepy crawlies that live in the walls. Nothing like what you are dealing with, OP.
