Here the link to third tower:

Building a Better Clayton Starts with The Crossing - nextSTL

Let's hope the rumored Drury hotel north of the arch and the residential BPV tower get built and start the trend downtown as well.

I like Clayton (used to live there) but having a "second downtown" in St. Louis has been bad for the original downtown.

This is exciting, but it's a little frustrating that they're tearing down existing buildings instead of building on one of the multitudes of surface parking lots or the giant field by the Forsyth Metrolink station.

Curious where they'll end up.

Clayton is an interesting case, it can compete with the best of suburbs while simultaneously being an asset and liability to both itself and the city it's attached to...

Very nice. Thanks for posting this. While it's not downtown, it's urban and it's the western bookend of the StL urban corridor. It's the next best thing to downtown and WAY better than west county sprawl or something similar.

I agree as a whole but due to Clayton's location just outside the city limits I'd personally put the Central West End as the next best thing to downtown (also wonder if the continued successes of urban living will convince banks to fund more projects or if Clayton, the CWE, and downtown still just eat away at each other...); which coincidently is also booming residentially and commercially at the movement while downtown is more in the slow and steady style unfortunately... A little bird has been telling me about BPV tower becoming a reality now though...

I have seen the posts over on urbanstl about this and I hope you are right because BPV is a great start but could be so much more.

What is happening in the CWE, I thought I read something about another residential tower proposal there?
