OK, in that case I suggest Pasadena Hills. It is diverse and close many of the trendiest areas in town.

Unfortunately, 95% of new people on this forum are actually the same racist idiot making disposable accounts.

I presume that would mean somewhere with lots of shopping. I'm not into the bar/club scene so that kind of limits meeting opportunities. I understand its hard to know whose single or not. Basically, I don't want to go to neighborhoods which are mostly families or primarily elderly, as it would be more difficult to meet professional single women there. I also want to go somewhere where the likelihood of getting shot or robbed is lower than others. I'm from MIA and lived in DC, so I'm 'hood certified' but I just don't want to have to deal. I prefer to deal with more professional and educated folks. Yup, that's the Elitist East Coast Liberal in me. ;-)

Any ideas for neighborhoods? I'm also not trying spend gobs of $ in rent. If I must have an apartment, that's fine but I'd prefer to rent a house with a garage. Living in central MO spoiled me with a garage.

Please give rational reasons to your recommendations.

Thanks for reading my longazz thread.
Cheers!
Congratulations Big Cappuccino on moving to St. Louis.
This is a wonderful, crime-free paradise with LOW COST OF LIVING and 1.5 sports teams, along with a free museum, zoo and park if you’re willing to take the chance...

The 1.5 sport team had me rolling. Thanks. I needed the laugh.

Thanks all. I've decided to go the west end of Downtown!
I'm very excited! I just have to figure out where are places to meet quality single women. I know itll come with time.

What did you decide? Hopefully the snarky negative comments from Trollsep and others didn’t dissuade you from moving here.

I did move to downtown on the west side...around 20th so not too crazy. I've since bought a house into north county in a nice subdivision in Black Jack.
