I have a million questions, but I guess an important one is to know if the Missouri Tarantula is in the St. Louis area and if they ever come inside!? I'm seriously TERRIFIED of them and spiders in general. I'm from Illinois, so I've only seen one in a pet store and that's too much for me even!

If there are, it's helpful to know...

And no, I'm not a troll. I am serious. I just hate spiders and tarantulas SO MUCH. They SCARE ME!

Lol - i didn’t even know we had a “local tarantula”.

Thanks for teaching me something. In other news, for years of living in St. Louis along with Kansas City, I’ve never seen one. So, I’d say the odds of you finding one in STL is pretty low.

We don't have the Missouri Tarantula, they get eaten by the other bigger spiders around here.

More seriously, I've never seen one, but we do have wolf spiders which are passingly similar.

Never saw one. The scorpions usually finish them off.

Maybe out in the woods but I've never seen one and I like to hike. We have the brown recluse. Never seen one either, but biggest tip is to use plastic storage bins and don't store things in cardboard. They like cardboard. Also have black widows, but again, I've only ever seen one. Most of our spiders are the good kind. I mean, I still hate them, but as long as they stay outside, I leave them alone. We got more spiders in our house when we lived in Wildwood because it is so woodsy out there. Closer in, we very very rarely get spiders inside.
