If it stops one person from being killed, it was a success.

It was a really great event to say the least. A very positive experience. A group of my friends and I went out to show support and it was easily thousands in attendance. I really hope it is considered a stepping stone in making a difference not only on the Northside but across the metro in general.

Given the sad news of the 16 yo girl killed and a 21 yo cohort wounded at the gas station, and then the Lemay 17 yo boy shot dead too - all w/in past 24 hours - this city/area need this support... Hope the outpouring of this positive experience can stop this madness.

I would hope and pray that this event will have a positive influence on my home city. It is beyond my belief that these killings occur so often and esp. by the young. It is sad and it is too tragic.
