I was able to get in touch with the head of the alumni chapter here in St. Louis. Here name is Christine Kimerle and her email is ckimerle@crown-ridge.com. Contact her if you'd like to get on her email list of VT events. They are planning a happy hour at the end of this month and a picnic in the fall. They also watch all of the football games at Ozzie's sports bar in Westport Plaza. She said they usually have their own TV and viewing area. We'll definitely have some parties here at our house as well, when the games are on TV. Can't wait for football season!!

Ozzie's is a good one. A lot of random schools have met there for parties from Syracuse to Georgetown to Nebraska to you name it, definitely in the similar mode to Sports Zone in a lot of ways....big place, accomodating....average food and older place, but very solid and good for sports.

I am uncertain of the sports packages next door at Pujols 5, but would be interested to find out. Food and atmosphere are good.

Default First Hokies game of the season

Hi everyone! It's that time again...time for Hokie Football Game Watching Parties!!! We will be watching the games at Ozzie's in Westport just like last year. Saturday's game begins at 11am (remember for all those that recently moved we are in a different time zone). Ozzie's is having a tailgate party in the parking lot throughout the day; here is the link with information www.ozziebowl.com
We have a lot of new Hokies to welcome this year, so make sure you wear your Hokie colors so our group can be found. We should be in the bar balcony (same place as last year. Hope to see you all there!

As yes, my sanity returns each year at this time. The annual 7 month drought ends tonight .

Can't wait for Auburn-LSU coming up in a few weeks.

And yes, I'll go ahead and say it - preparing for the backlash. SEC football is tops, and is unmatched by any conference ... no matter how you midwesterners feel about your Mizzou Tigers, your Big 12, your Illinois, or your Big 10 .

Alright time for Hokie Happy Hour! Thursday September 25th 5:30/6:00 (after work) at Tin Can Downtown: 1909 Locust Street. This is a great chance to just grab an after work drink, meet some fellow new/old St. Louis Hokies, and experience a great drinking hole of St. Louis. They do have a menu with some good food options so if you need a bite to eat after work you can grab one here. Hope to see everyone there!

Hi, Hell0ni! Some of us met at the Pressbox in Chesterfield last night. Sorry I didn't see this until today. It was a frustrating loss...you can message me and I'll hook you up! I don't think there is a plan for the Thursday night game.

Photobuff42, sorry I never responded! Are you guys doing something for the Spring game? I'd love to get connected with the Alum group so I'll be ready when Fall comes around. Also, do you know of any memorial services around here for the April 16th incident?

Thanks a bunch!
