I even walked around the "scary" parts of NSTL during the day, and no one as much as batted an eyelash at me.
Would I cruise around at night? Noooooo, but there are parts of Ocala I wouldnt do that in either.

i have been into every corner of this city over the past 20 ++ years... first as a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney, then doing radon testing for the building inspection company i owned with my ex and now doing inspections and testing for certifications on habitat for humanity houses.....

and my original thought still holds.... act like you got some common sense and some cojones..... and you will be JUST FINE.....

btw ... i am a 48 y/o, blue eyed, blonde, white female, who was considered reasonably attractive back in the day, and have never had an issue in any of the neighborhoods i have worked in.....

Wait... do you think Florida is "Latin America"??

At least we know Hawaii's educational system is on par with Missouri's then.

The Lou? So is that what the kids are calling it these days?

I'm sure one can avoid crime more easily in St. Louis than Orlando, which is a tourist trap, and the swindlers love going after tourists. St. Louis' crime rate is quite a bit higher, though, and most of it's crime is confined to the bad neighborhoods, like most cities.

You wish...lol. Unfortunately I hear "the Lou" shouted out way too much around here. We definitely need a new nickname.

I'd say if you wanted to make friends - you'd NEVER call St. Louis "the Lou"

An idiot columnist ( a poor one at that) by the name of Deb 'invented' this gastly nickname. It figures! I guess spelling isn't one of her strong points!
