I am a big supporter of public transportation services. ....However,

Metrolink management and decision-making has been nothing short of pathetic.

The system needs support and funds, and it also needs across the board changes too.

It doesn't make St. Louis behind the times to say no more to a bunch of bafoons. However it does make St. Louis behind the times when there isn't a strong viable public transportation system in the metro area.

Some of the people who voted no,(not all unfortunately) want competence too.

It's still possible depending on where you plan to live and work. If you are going to be living and working in some combination of Downtown, the Central West End, or Clayton it would be easy. Otherwise anywhere close to a Metrolink stop would be workable but would probably require a trip to one of the above neighborhoods for services(groceries etc.)

The biggest impacts from these changes is bus service to the far suburbs and night service.

Fear not, I have several friends who commute with the metro. It works best if you're working downtown.
