It's not ideal, but you make sacrifices for what you want. I have a 45-75 minute commute here in Chicago so I can live in the city (I work in the suburbs).

Maybe check into living in Pacific itself, it's not a bad little town. There's not much there, but you're not far from West County or Eureka. Homes are fairly cheap around Pacific and $225K would get you something very nice there.

Having no commute would be a plus. I would love to no longer have a 45-minute commute someday.

Thanks for the info! I agree that Fenton is probably the best fit, if we can find something in the Rockwood School district. It also looks like there are some nice houses in the area of South County, south of I-270 off Telegraph Rd. The map calls this area Oakwood. It's in the Mehlville school district. How is this area?

Im looking for a studo apt or outher small place for one person.Arround pacfic, looks like I might be getting a promition their Its an hr from home and dont want to drive 2 hrs a day so Im wanting an apt to stay at during the week.looking to spend 200 to 350 a month where do I start looking for a place.

Googling "Pacific Mo for rent" should get you started. Quite a few hits came up for me.
