Does anyone know if the Creepy Crawl has closed? It used to be a block up from the Post Dispatch and then they finally moved into a much larger building somewhere else downtown, not real sure where as I have not been there since 2002. If anyone knows and could pass on the information I would greatly appreciate it!

They moved to Midtown in the mid 00s and quietly closed in Dec. 08. I remembered a short blurb in the PD in December -- I think it was right after Fall Out Boy played there.

edit: Here is the PD article: Rock club Creepy Crawl quietly closes in Grand Center | The Blender | STLtoday (http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/the-blender/the-blender/2008/12/rock-club-creepy-crawl-quietly-closes-in-grand-center/ - broken link)

That is really sad! Although I never made it to their newest location, my husband and I had many fun times at their original location! We were hoping to be able to add new memories there!! Thanks for the reply, even though it was not what I wanted to hear!! Do you know of any other clubs that may have opened since that are anything close to this great dive bar?

i moved away for a few years but from what ive been told, Fubar is pretty much the replacement and that either the owner or promoter of Creepy ran themselves into the ground. i've worked with bands and promoters in my day and i know at least 1 bridge that has been burnt by someone via Creepy
