I am relocating after being in so.florida for 23 yrs. I have a biracial 8 yr old son and am looking for a house to rent. He has had some difficulties but is doing well- some ADD issues. I am considering kirkwood, webster b/c/ of schools. Have looked at a house on the edge of rock hill and glendale- he would go to Hudson elem. any comments? I am only in town until Mon and am finding it difficult to even find houses for rent. I need to stay at 850-900/mo. My main issue is my son and the ability to get services if he needs them. He has been in a small (9 kids) class at a private Christian school. I am concerned about the ability to access any servvices for him if it does turn out that he needs them. I did look at a couple of homes in Kirkwood but am liking the one on the edge of rock hill. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
thanks

Rock Hill is a nice area and its also pretty diverse racially. Just watch out for the motorcycle cop giving out speeding tickets. I don't know much about Hudson school, I've been by there before and its in a nice quiet area and seems pretty small. Being in the Webster district it should be good. Not sure about any special services they may offer, but if the school becomes an issue there are several private catholic schools in the immediate area (Ste. Genevieve du Bois, Mary Queen of Peace).

I assume if you are only looking to spend $850-$900/mo in Webster/Kirkwood you must be looking at smaller houses to rent since you won't find too many of the larger homes in that range. Would a 2 bedroom home suffice? You may also want to consider renting a condo in one of those areas to find more options in your price range, and also look in Brentwood where there should be plenty of Brentwood Forest 2 BR units for rent. If he is used to smaller class sizes, personal attention and an intimate setting, Brentwood Schools would also work well for him.
